Account security
Trust starts with knowing how your account is handled.
DockItUp uses third-party verification and payment infrastructure, keeps booking activity tied to the right account, and limits what it stores itself.

What DockItUp does
Security that is part of the workflow, not a separate promise.
The goal is simple: confirm identity where required, use established payment infrastructure, and keep account activity organized around the reservation.
Identity verification
Renters and private dock owners complete identity verification through Stripe Identity before booking-related activity. DockItUp receives the verification result and does not store the submitted ID images.
Secure payment handling
Payment-card information is handled through secure payment infrastructure. DockItUp keeps the booking and payment status connected to the reservation without storing full payment-card details.
Account-based access
Booking, listing, messaging, and account information is presented through the appropriate signed-in account experience rather than being scattered across public pages.
Private account records
Sensitive booking and support information stays tied to the relevant account and reservation. Access is limited to the people and platform roles that need it for the rental workflow.
Verification has a defined purpose
Identity verification is designed to confirm identity. It is not a background check and does not independently verify dock ownership, permits, zoning, insurance coverage, vessel condition, or future conduct.
DockItUp does not need your full card number
Payment-card entry and processing are handled through secure payment infrastructure. DockItUp keeps the reservation and status information it needs to operate the booking.
Support stays tied to account activity
Booking-related messages, support records, and incident workflows remain connected to the relevant account activity rather than living in disconnected channels.
