SMS Terms & Consent

Overview

DockItUp ("we," "us," "our," or the "Company") uses SMS text messaging to send transactional and informational messages to users who have explicitly opted in to receive such communications. This SMS Terms & Consent document outlines the terms and conditions governing the use of our SMS messaging service, powered by Twilio.

1. Opt-In & Consent

By providing your phone number and selecting/confirming SMS consent during signup, profile setup, booking, or support workflows, you agree to receive account and booking-related SMS messages from DockItUp at the phone number you provide. Your phone number must be a valid U.S. or international number capable of receiving SMS.

We will only send you SMS messages for the following purposes:

• Account & Authentication: Phone verification, password resets, and account security alerts
• Booking Confirmations: Confirmation of dock reservations, booking changes, and cancellations
• Arrival Notifications: Check-in reminders, arrival confirmation requests, and related logistics
• Transactional Updates: Payment confirmations, refunds, and financial transaction notifications
• Service Alerts: Critical platform updates, maintenance notices, and system issues that may affect your access
• Legal Notices: Terms of service changes, policy updates, and regulatory compliance communications

2. Message Frequency & Charges

Message frequency may vary based on your activity level and account usage. You will not be charged by DockItUp for receiving SMS messages from us. However, your wireless carrier's standard message and data rates may apply to incoming and outgoing SMS messages. Please contact your wireless carrier for details on SMS message charges.

3. Opt-Out & Withdrawal of Consent

You may opt out of receiving SMS messages from DockItUp at any time by:

• Visiting your account settings on the DockItUp platform and disabling SMS notifications
• Texting STOP in response to any SMS message from us
• Contacting our support team at support@dockitup.com

Upon opting out, we will stop sending SMS messages to your phone number, except for transactional or legal notices required by law. Please allow up to 24 hours for your opt-out request to be processed.

4. Message Content & Limitations

SMS messages may be sent during normal business hours and at other times. We make reasonable efforts to ensure message accuracy, but do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free service. Message delivery is subject to wireless carrier limitations and network availability.

Standard SMS message format applies. Long messages may be split across multiple SMS segments and counted separately by your wireless carrier.

5. Data & Privacy

Your phone number and SMS preferences are protected in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We do not sell or share your phone number with third parties for marketing purposes. SMS messages are transmitted via Twilio, a third-party service provider that complies with industry-standard data protection practices.

6. Changes to This Policy

DockItUp reserves the right to modify this SMS Terms & Consent policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Your continued receipt of SMS messages after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. We will notify you of material changes via SMS or email.

7. Limitation of Liability

DockItUp is not responsible for:

• Delays or failures in message delivery caused by wireless carrier issues, network outages, or user device problems
• Loss of critical information due to SMS message delays or non-delivery
• Unauthorized access to your phone number or SMS account
• Third-party services or carrier actions beyond our reasonable control

To the extent permitted by law, DockItUp's liability for SMS-related issues shall not exceed the fees paid for the relevant service.
